Police: convicted rapist threatens wife with ax in Stamford

A convicted child rapist was arrested in Stamford over the weekend for allegedly swinging an ax at his wife during a drunken fight the two were having at her home on Hope Street. Michael Miner , 58, formerly of Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and three counts each of third-degree assault and unlawful restraint.
