Darien man charged with gun possession in Stamford

A Darien man who police said hid a gun he was trying to sell in his spare tire, was arrested by Stamford police Tuesday afternoon after they learned that an illegal gun sale was about to occur. Tristan Harris , 25, of Allen O'Neill Drive in Noroton Heights, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, stealing a firearm, possession of a weapon inside a motor vehicle and possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana.
