From mayor to maestro: Stamford Mayor David Martin will be conducting the Stamford Symphony Orchestra's first selection, at this weekend's season-opening concerts at the Palace Theatre. "It is a privilege and an honor to be able to open the fall concert season of Stamford's Symphony Fairfield County's only orchestra with full-time professional musicians by conducting 'The Star-Spangled Banner,'" he said.
