Stamford police seek $45M for possible relocation

Questions still remain over potential health problems at the city's police headquarters, and Chief Jon Fontneau is seeking $45 million for a possible relocation of the department if it becomes necessary. The current headquarters building at 805 Bedford St. has been plagued by air-quality issues after a contractor discovered asbestos in plaster walls this summer that forced the department to shut down its heating and air conditioning.
