Rippowam Labs is offering free access to an appliance repair expert at a "Fix-It" night scheduled for Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at its "Makerspace" facility at 482 Summer St. in Stamford. Many appliances are "fair game" for free repairs, in Rippowam Labs' words, save for large units like refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers and others that would be difficult to carry into the facility.
