Brokers hopeful Synchrony Financial will commit to Stamford

Synchrony Financial is keeping mum on whether it will stay put as it readies to update investors Friday on its 2014 results --and as an existing lease on its Stamford headquarters is set to expire in 20 months. But one person familiar with the negotiations said they signed a new lease Dec. 31 for about 320,000 square feet at 777 Long Ridge Road.
