Greenwich's Betteridge building sells for $7.2 million

The building that houses Betteridge Jewelers at 117 Greenwich Ave. sold to a Stamford-based real estate investment company for $7.2 million last week, records on file at Town Hall show. The price per square foot comes out to about $1,070, not including the basement, which is in line with the market on the street, according to Ron Brien, principal and managing director at Alliance Commercial Property, which manages leases up and down The Ave. "The new standard to buy a building on Greenwich Avenue is that buyers need to anticipate spending a minimum of $1,000 to $2,500 per square foot," he said Wednesday afternoon.
