Stamford Teen Honored For Project On Emergency Preparedness

Stamford's Bridget Smith, a senior at the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering, has been honored as a distinguished finalist by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. Smith, 18, who serves as a board member for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut, was honored for creating a hands-on, interactive exhibit to teach children about the importance of emergency preparedness.
