Stamford teen involved in stabbing charged in separate robbery

A city teenager who was allegedly involved in a fight in Veterans Park that led to a stabbing two weeks ago, was arrested in connection with a separate incident, an armed robbery, police said Monday. Michael Catchings , 18, of North Avenue, Stamford, was charged Friday with attempted first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and third-degree assault in the Feb. 20 robbery and assault of a man outside a bodega on the West Side.
