The parsonage of the Reverend John Bishop the second minister of the First Congregational Church in Stamford. He succeeded Rev. Richard Denton, first pastor of the church in 1644 and remained for 50 years. The parsonage was located at the corner of main and Atlantic Streets. Across the way on a green was the little church where Parson Bishop served.
