At the 35th floor in Trump Parc, the luxury high-rise on Washington Boulevard that dwarfs every other building in Stamford, the hallway next to the elevators was filled with red-faced, panting, sweating and coughing firefighters and civilians. They had just walked, jogged or sprinted up 68 flights of stairs, and all were feeling the burn.
