The first phase began this week and will see the replacement of 450 feet of 6-inch cast iron water main with 12-inch ductile iron main on Spruce Street, from Stillwater Avenue to Hillhurst Street, and another estimated 450 feet of water main on Wright Street, from West Broad Street moving south to the beginning of the ongoing roadway realignment, part of Stamford Hospital's building project. Plans are for the work to be finished by mid-March and for the second phase to start on April 8. The second phase of work involves working in tandem with the roadway realignment and is projected to be finished by early May. Plans are for roughly 450 feet of water main to be replaced.
