Cops: Pedestrians Scattered as Man Drove on Sidewalk to Evade Police

After a pursuit to North Stamford and into New York state, police said, the Bronx man was arrested-and later released on $10,000 bond. Pedestrians on a New Canaan sidewalk scattered Sunday afternoon as a car driven by a New York man trying to avoid arrest drove onto the sidewalk to get around some cars on Grove Street, town police said.
