Stamford police briefs

A call about teenagers playing with a gun led to six youths being detained and a BB gun taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Kelly Connelly said police were sent to Lee Street just before 3 p.m. after an anonymous caller reported that a boy wearing a red T-shirt and camouflage pants was showing off a gun to his friends, and expressed concern that someone was going to be shot.
