In August, the department received a report that a debit card, among various other items, had been taken in a burglary from a local business. The debit card was then used that same day to withdraw several hundred dollars from ATMs at Fairlawn Variety on East Main Street in Stamford, and at the Fairfield County Bank also on East Main Street.
