A Superior Court judge Wednesday threw out a lawsuit against the Stamford Board of Education accusing it of turning a blind eye to allegations that a former Stamford public school gym teacher repeatedly sexually assaulted a young boy in his school office in the 1970s. In a nine-page decision, Judge Michael Kamp ruled that under state law an injured plaintiff cannot directly allege a cause of action against a board of education.
