Lillian Buchan, 96, Of Stamford, Retired Westhill High School Employee

Buchan was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Elizabeth, N.J. She was a longtime Stamford resident and worked at Westhill High School in the Guidance Office for 23 years before retiring in 1995. Buchan is survived by her daughters, Jane McDonnell of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Gale Tarzia of Stamford; son-in-law, Tim McDonnell; three grandchildren; brother, John Maul of Darien; sister, Anne Gagliardi of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
