Metro-North Is Working on the Railroad's New Canaan Branch

Metro-North commuters on the New Canaan Branch should build some extra travel time into their schedules starting Friday, Oct. 3. According to the Town of New Canaan, Metro-North will be reconstructing the railroad-highway at-grade crossing at Richmond Hill Road in order to replace worn-out rail from Friday, Oct. 3, to Wednesday, Oct. 8. Starting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3, the railroad crossing will be closed to vehicular traffic.
