Synchrony Financial considering Charlotte expansion, is subject of incentives talks

The company is considering a 400-job expansion here that would include a mix of management jobs and call-center positions, sources say, and is targeting the Ballantyne area. Synchrony Financial, a consumer financial-services company based in Stamford, Conn., is the company considering an expansion in Charlotte and prompting discussion of an incentives package by Charlotte City Council on Monday night, sources say.
