Stamford schools training soars after teacher-student sex arrest

In the year before English teacher Danielle Watkins was arrested and charged with having sex with a student, not a single Stamford Public Schools employee registered to watch the online video training for mandated reporters that is offered by the state's child protection agency. In the six months since her arrest, however, 1,238 of the school system's roughly 2,000 staff members signed up, data from the agency shows.
