A new musical composition dedicated to victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy will be performed at The Palace in Stamford at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 7, with a pre-concert lecture at 7:15 p.m. Composer Steven Sametz , who was born in Westport but now lives in Pennsylvania, said his inspiration for "A Child's Requiem" came from hundreds of writings and stories from young children all over America who told their tales of loss. The performance is dedicated to the children and adults killed in the Newtown tragedy, he said.
