Stamford police briefs

A Madison man arrested two weeks ago by Greenwich police alleging he stole nearly $180,000 from an elderly close relative, made not-guilty pleas to criminal charges at state Superior Court in Stamford Tuesday. Appearing with his defense attorney, lead public defender Barry Butler , Thomas Herrmann , 59, of High Hill Circle, made the not-guilty pleas to charges of first-degree larceny, first-degree forgery and criminal impersonation.
