Stamford restaurant employee arrested after robbery hoax

A downtown Stamford restaurant employee was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly texted his boss telling him that someone was holding a gun to his head while trying to open the restaurant's safe. Dennis Rodas , 18, of Hope Street, was charged by police with falsely reporting an incident, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, reckless endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and breach of peace.
