Aid-in-dying bill lacked sufficient support

Rep. William Tong, D-Stamford, co-chairman of the Judiciary Committee said legislation to allow doctors to prescribe life-ending drugs to terminally ill patients would have been a close vote. HARTFORD -- In the end, there simply wasn't enough support in the Judiciary Committee to bring the aid-in-dying bill to a debate and vote.
