Uganda native's rise from poverty inspires Danbury students

Tony Ssonko, a police officer with the East Haven Police Department, spoke at Westside Middle School Academy on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in Danbury, Conn. Ssonko left Uganda as a boy and came to the United States, living in Stamford and Ridgefield with friends, graduated from UConn and served in the U.S. Marines before becoming a police officer.
