Days before Gov. Dannel Malloy gave an inaugural address steeped in transit and transportation proposals, Stamford's Board of Representatives gave the final go-ahead for the city to seek out a new bureau chief for transportation, traffic and parking. The role would be that of a manager in the Office of Operations who would ostensibly become the focal point for parking and traffic hardware as well as long-term transportation planning in the city.
