Stamford Police responding to calls of a shooting at a Fairfield Avenue home "known for nefarious activity for the last several years" early Saturday, found a crime scene - shell casings and a pool of blood - but nary a victim in sight. It was about 45 minutes after police received the reports of a shooting, that a 24-year-old man who was shot twice in the legs showed up at Stamford Hospital seeking treatment, police said.
