Man's best friend sends Stamford school thief to prison

A city man betrayed by the distinctive white-tipped tail of his little dog was sentenced to four years in jail Friday for a series of thefts from Rippowam Middle School . Peter Guerrlich , 49, pleaded guilty to first-degree larceny about two months ago, confessing to the theft of more than $41,000 in equipment, copper pipes, computers, cameras and camera lenses from the school.
