The city is planning to kick off the second phase of a West Side transportation study by holding a workshop and public information meeting on April 1. The planning initiative, which began a little more than a year ago, aims to come up with strategies to improve transportation for a neighborhood that is in the throes of a major redevelopment led by the expansion of Stamford Hospital . Fitzgerald & Halliday , a planning consultant group based in Harford, has been tapped by the city to spearhead the study.
