Stamford Dentist Settles In Illegal Medicaid Billing Lawsuit

A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit the state filed against a Stamford dentist and 13 of his practices and companies over illegal Medicaid billing, the state's attorney general announced Wednesday. The lawsuit filed in May 2012 named Mehran Zamani and his companies among 28 total that were involved in what the state said is an illegal scheme to submit fraudulent Medicaid claims over two years, Attorney General George Jepsen 's office said.
