In June 2011, just as he was preparing to leave the Stamford school district for a much larger one in Montgomery County, Md., former Superintendent Joshua Starr transferred three of Stamford High School's four assistant principals. The assistants had raised concerns about the principal, Donna Valentine, and after a two-week internal investigation, Starr told The Advocate what he concluded.
