Thanksgiving happens at Stamford shelter with mayor's help

The dozen tables at the Pacific House shelter for the homeless in Stamford's South End were full on Thursday, as the shelter served a Thanksgiving meal to some 50 men. "If people do have family," she said, "they make an exception on Christmas or Thanksgiving," she said, explaining why some of the shelter's regular clients would be absent for the holiday.
