Allison Bernard "Big Randy" Randolph III, a businessman and civic activist who was an executive in one of the first minority-owned oil-services companies in the nation, died Friday at his home of a tear in the wall of his aorta. He was 70. A native of Stamford, Conn., who moved to New Orleans in his childhood, Mr. Randolph was vice president of RAN-DER Industries, an oil-field service company that his father owned.
