Stamford parade and weather thrill crowds

More than 20 balloons and floats wended their way through Stamford's downtown Sunday afternoon as part of the 21st UBS Parade Spectacular, in what felt like miraculously mild weather after last week's cold snap. By late morning, tens of thousands of spectators had lined the streets as holiday music wafted out of loudspeakers set up every few blocks.
