Walter Edgar Stein, Former Norwalk Executive, 85

Walter Edgar Stein, a former resident of Yorktown, died after a battle with lung cancer on Saturday, Nov. 22. He was 85. After attending Duquesne University, he went on to have a successful career as an executive for General Electric Credit Corp. in Stamford and Norwalk, Conn., until 1984. Years following in the same capacity he led many changes with PFSS, and Meritor Corp. in Philadelphia, retiring after 35 years of service.
